Classic Malay Folklores

I would like share with you some classic Malay folklores that I grew up with.

These stories have been passed down the generations by word of mouth, and were only later documented for academic and general reading.

Please note that the narratives in each story is mine, and do not represent the official translation from the Bahasa Melayu (or the Malay language) versions.

Do hope you’ll enjoy reading the stories as much as I have in bringing them to you!

Reading List:

1. The Princess and Sang Katak

2. Sang Kancil, the Clever Mouse-deer

3. Si Tanggang

4. Si Luncai and his Pumpkin
